OUR STORY
We Came Home to Build This.
The people behind Blügrass have always been Kentuckians. When the opportunity to work in the cannabis industry came along, Kentucky hadn't yet legalized, so they moved to Colorado, not to leave, but to learn. The goal was always to come back home and help build something that would genuinely benefit patients in the Commonwealth.
When Kentucky opened its medical cannabis program, that's exactly what happened. We submitted a single application, were selected in the state's licensing lottery, and got to work.
Blügrass is a family business. The people running it are partners, friends, and the kind of people who will talk your ear off about terpene profiles, genetics, and irrigation strategies if you give them the chance. That's not a talking point. It shows up in how we operate every single day.
Blügrass operates under a Tier 1 cultivation license, the craft designation within Kentucky's system. It's not the biggest tier. That's intentional. We're here to produce small-batch, Kentucky-grown cannabis that expands patient choice and raises the bar for what medical flower in this state can be.

Craft cannabis isn't a marketing phrase for us. It's the tier we applied for, and it describes how we actually operate.
Tier 1 is Kentucky's craft cultivation designation, and it fits how we operate. Small-batch, hands-on, with close attention paid at every stage from genetics selection to harvest to cure. We grow the best flowers we can, consistently, for patients who deserve that level of care.
We focus on genetic diversity and specialized cultivation practices because that's how you build a product lineup that actually serves patients well.

Kentucky's medical cannabis program is new, and we take seriously what it means to be one of the licensed cultivators helping build it. We're committed to doing this right, operating with full compliance, and producing flower that reflects well on the program and on the Commonwealth.
